Kings Park Long Island NY was originally just a pass through to get from and to Smithtown and Huntington. There was one road St Johnland rd that was used. The psychiatric hospital that was built there created many jobs which helped build the towns population. Kings park didn’t have a name until the train station was built. The train company gave it the name Kings Park named after a small park in Queens.
