Lloyd Harbor Long Island NY It was not until 1885, after a year of much lobbying in the State Legislature, that Lloyd Neck became a part of the Town of Huntington and Suffolk County, thereby seceding from Oyster Bay, Queens County.  The New York Sun in 1884 reported. A beautiful place to visit in Lloyd Harbor called Caumsett State Park. It is set on top of a bluff that overlooks the long island sound. The territory of Lloyd neck was originally owned by the Matinecock Indians and was sold by them in 1654 to three Englishmen.
